Stairway to Heaven

Using stones and miscellaneous pieces of scrap cement found on our property, we built stairs up a steep slope to our property line.

To obscure some pipes below the front porch, I used a concrete bench and river pebbles to make a cozy, welcoming area.

When I saw these pedestals at a friends garden, I was inspired to build my own using scrap materials that I already had.

The renovation of our thyme covered patio is by far our most popular post since we began the blog in 2008.

The stone wall is finished ready to be the hardscape for whatever we choose to plant around it. This one is fine for sitting as well!
